Editor’s take
Vercel's homepage is 118 words. Four of them are “AI Cloud,” and the page never says what that means. The lurkers were brutal: three left outright, including Alex — “Vercel again, so what?” — and Marcus, who said “Vercel, yeah I know it” and still couldn't decode it. There's also “Fluid compute,” “Vercel Agent,” “AI Gateway” — all named, none explained.
Stripe and Linear had similar AI-pivot problems. Vercel goes furthest: confidence without explanation. That's a wall, not a teaser.
