Terms of Service

You drop a URL. Lurkly asks search-connected AI engines — the kind that search the web before answering, like the ones your buyers actually use — the questions those buyers would type, and shows you what came back: whether you’re mentioned, who gets recommended instead, how the AI describes you, which sources its answers cite, and the one change most likely to help. We read your page with a lightweight fetcher (not a full browser), so pages that depend on heavy JavaScript or a login may not be read well.

• You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to use Lurkly. If you use it for an organization, you confirm you’re authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.
• Free checks are anonymous and require no account. A free account lets you save a check as a product and re-run it by hand; a Pro subscription adds automatic tracking. You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under it.

• You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant us a limited license to fetch, process, store, and display that content solely to provide the service to you. Every completed check gets a result page at an unguessable link — anyone who has the link can open it, and passing it on is up to you. See the Privacy Policy for what is kept and for how long.
• You confirm you have the right to submit the URL or content you provide, and that doing so doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights or any law.
• Don’t submit content that is illegal, infringing, malicious, or that contains other people’s private information you have no right to share.

Lurkly’s results quote real answers from third-party AI engines, together with the sources those answers cite. Two things follow. First, the answers are the engines’, not ours — they can be incomplete, mistaken, out of date, or unfair, and we can’t change what an engine says. Second, AI answers move: the same question can get a different answer next week, so every result is a snapshot of the moment it ran, not a permanent fact.

The short summary and suggested change Lurkly adds on top are generated by AI too, and can be mistaken. Everything is provided “as is” for your consideration — not legal, financial, marketing, or other professional advice. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on it.

When using Lurkly, you agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, or the safeguards that restrict which URLs we fetch.
• Probe internal networks or use Lurkly to access systems or content you’re not authorized to reach.
• Scrape, resell, or build a competing product from the service, or reverse-engineer it, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.
• Submit malware, spam, or content intended to harm Lurkly, its providers, or others.
• Use Lurkly in any way that violates applicable law or these terms.

We may apply fair-use limits (for example, a small number of free checks per day, and an anti-abuse cap on Pro usage) and may throttle or suspend access that appears abusive or automated.

• Free.Anonymous checks with a daily limit, full results, and share links. With a free account you can save checks as products and re-run them by hand. Free is fully usable — we don’t paywall the quality of results.
• Pro. $19 / month or $190 / year, billed through our payment provider. Pro adds automatic weekly re-checks of your products, an email when AI's answer about you changes, multiple AI engines per check by default, and higher daily check limits, and additional features as they ship.
• Auto-renewal.Subscriptions renew automatically each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current paid period and we don’t pro-rate partial periods.
• Refunds. Your first Pro purchase is refundable within 7 days, no questions asked. Email [email protected] to request it.
• Price changes.If we change pricing, existing subscribers keep their current price for at least 12 months from the change. We’ll give reasonable notice before any change takes effect.
• Taxes. Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which will be added where required.

We work to keep Lurkly running but provide it on a best-effort basis without an uptime guarantee. Support is by email; Pro requests get priority. We may add, change, or discontinue features over time, and we may impose limits or perform maintenance as needed.

Lurkly, including the website, design, branding, and underlying software, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms don’t transfer any of our intellectual property to you. The reports Lurkly generates for your submission are yours to use for your own purposes; answers quoted from AI engines are reproduced as evidence and remain subject to those providers’ terms.

Lurkly relies on third parties such as AI engine providers, hosting, email delivery, and a payment provider that acts as merchant of record for purchases. Your use of those underlying services through Lurkly is also subject to their terms, and we’re not responsible for their acts or omissions — including what their AI engines say about you or anyone else.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lurkly is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be accurate or suitable for your purposes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lurkly and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lurkly and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of content you submit or your misuse of the service or violation of these terms, except to the extent caused by us.

You can stop using Lurkly at any time, and account holders can cancel Pro or delete their account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, misuse the service, or where required to protect the service or other users.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware — unless mandatory law in your country of residence gives you other rights, in which case those rights are unaffected. Purchases themselves are made through our payment provider as merchant of record, and its terms govern the purchase.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we’ll give more prominent notice. Continuing to use Lurkly after an update means you accept the revised terms.
