Terms of Service
Last updated May 25, 2026
These terms govern your use of Lurkly (“Lurkly”, “we”, “us”), available at lurkly.ai. By using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Lurkly.
Please read Section 4 carefully: Lurkly’s output is generated by AI, is meant as an early gut-check, and is not professional advice or a substitute for testing with real users.
1. What Lurkly does
You paste a landing-page URL (or text) and Lurkly runs five independent AI personas that read it and tell you, in character, why they might bounce — plus a short summary. It reads page text using a lightweight fetcher (not a full browser), so pages that depend on heavy JavaScript, login, or images may not be read well. Lurkly critiques landing pages only.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to use Lurkly. If you use it for an organization, you confirm you’re authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.
- Free use is anonymous and requires no account. A Pro subscription requires an account; you’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under it.
3. Your content and what you may submit
- You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant us a limited license to fetch, process, and (where you choose to share a result) display that content solely to provide the service to you. See the Privacy Policy for how long anything is kept.
- You confirm you have the right to submit the URL or content you provide, and that doing so doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights or any law.
- Don’t submit content that is illegal, infringing, malicious, or that contains other people’s private information you have no right to share.
4. AI output — important disclaimer
Lurkly’s critiques are generated by AI. Personas are prompted to quote your actual page text and to admit when they can’t find evidence, but output can still be incomplete, mistaken, or simply a matter of opinion. It is provided “as is” for your consideration.
Lurkly is the step before real user feedback — not a replacement for user testing, and not legal, financial, marketing, or other professional advice. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on it.
5. Acceptable use
When using Lurkly, you agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, or the safeguards that restrict which URLs we fetch.
- Probe internal networks or use Lurkly to access systems or content you’re not authorized to reach.
- Scrape, resell, or build a competing product from the service, or reverse-engineer it, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.
- Submit malware, spam, or content intended to harm Lurkly, its providers, or others.
- Use Lurkly in any way that violates applicable law or these terms.
We may apply fair-use limits (for example, a small number of free runs per day, and an anti-abuse cap on Pro usage) and may throttle or suspend access that appears abusive or automated.
6. Plans, billing, and refunds
- Free.Anonymous, with a limited number of critiques per day and short-lived share links. Free is fully usable — we don’t paywall the quality of feedback.
- Pro. $19 / month or $190 / year, billed through our payment provider. Pro adds unlimited runs (subject to anti-abuse limits), review history, longer-lived share links, and additional features as they ship.
- Auto-renewal.Subscriptions renew automatically each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current paid period and we don’t pro-rate partial periods.
- Refunds. Your first Pro purchase is refundable within 7 days, no questions asked. Email [email protected] to request it.
- Price changes. If we change pricing, existing subscribers keep their current price for at least 12 months from the change. We’ll give reasonable notice before any change takes effect.
- Taxes. Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which will be added where required.
7. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Lurkly running but provide it on a best-effort basis without a uptime guarantee. Free support is community-based; Pro includes email support with a target response time. We may add, change, or discontinue features over time, and we may impose limits or perform maintenance as needed.
8. Our intellectual property
Lurkly, including the website, the five-persona design, branding, and underlying software, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms don’t transfer any of our intellectual property to you. The critique output we generate for your submission is yours to use for your own purposes.
9. Third-party services
Lurkly relies on third parties such as AI model providers, hosting, and a payment provider for billing. Your use of those underlying services through Lurkly is also subject to their terms, and we’re not responsible for their acts or omissions.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lurkly is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be accurate or suitable for your purposes.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lurkly and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lurkly and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of content you submit or your misuse of the service or violation of these terms, except to the extent caused by us.
13. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Lurkly at any time, and Pro subscribers can cancel or delete their account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, misuse the service, or where required to protect the service or other users.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of [Governing law], unless mandatory law in your country of residence gives you other rights. [Set the governing law and venue once your operating entity or payment setup is finalized — if you sell through a Merchant of Record, that provider’s terms typically govern the purchase itself.]
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we’ll give more prominent notice. Continuing to use Lurkly after an update means you accept the revised terms.
